On 28 November 2024, I had an opportunity to visit the residents of Balete who have been displaced by Typhoon Kristine. They were in good spirit and making adjustments to their new way of living. We talked to their school coordinator and learnt the need for water tanks to be able to store rationed water. So we promised to come back and deliver drums.
In addition, we brought fruits and vegetables to augment their food supply with nutritious foods. They will prepare an area in the school where we can plant vegetables for their daily supply. We look forward to our return to Looc Elementary School.
